How do you migrate your lines?

STAGE 1 – AdEPT WILL SEEK TO TRANSFER THE CALLS USING CARRIER PRE SELECT (CPS) AND LINE RENTAL USING WHOLESALE LINE RENTAL (WLR)

Happy young businesswoman talking on phoneCarrier Pre Select (CPS) and Wholesale Line Rental (WLR) does not involve any engineering work on-site. CPS is an electronic automated process that re-programmes the BT local telephone exchange.

We anticipate that the vast majority of all calls and lines will be successfully transferred within 10 days by using the CPS process.

STAGE 2 – IF ANY SITES ARE STILL NOT PASSING CALL TRAFFIC AFTER CPS HAS BEEN SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED

If any of the sites have PBX telephone systems that have previously been programmed to direct calls to another carrier by using Least Cost Routing (LCR) then this will over-ride CPS. It may then be necessary to re-programme these telephone systems. AdEPT will liaise directly with the telephone maintainer and these systems can normally be re-programmed remotely. On the odd occasion that PBX systems cannot be reprogrammed remotely then a site visit would be needed.
